This picture is the reverse of Parkdale Public Library image. Parkdale was a drawing on top of a painting, this is a painting (albeit a drippy one) on a drawing. I was fascinated by the library's chimney like brickwork, looking a little like a hops storage house. This library was designed by Thomas Ibronyi, architect in 1967. (This is from the TLP website; you knew that each library has its own history section, didn't you?) I did this just a few days before Labour Day, which marks the change from summer to autumn for most people, suggested by the green-gold-red pools at the base of the maple tree.
