This is a piece I am submitting to to the International Artists Day Show(Sept 27, 2013), sponsored by Tourism White Rock, a community south of Vancouver, BC. Art Sites has been promoting this show and I am sure the attendees will have a great selction of Canadian artists to choose from. The show has elements of AWOL Gallery's 12 x 12 show here in Toronto and OCAD's (Ontario College of Art and Design)'s graduating class show and sale in that all prices and sizes are the same and pieces are signed on the back so that the pieces are anonymously purchased. This acrylic is a reworking of Shell 1, since White Rock's rules state the piece must be on gallery wrap so Shell 1 doesn't qualify. Now the weather has moved from the dead of winter to a summertime Friday evening and the black haired lady now wears a pencil skirt as she refills for the weekend.
