Act 1, Scene 1. Albert J Peterson, the music agent for Conrad Birdie, learns that Conrad, his prize singing star, has been drafted into the US army and will thus be unavailable for concerts. His office, in a seedy part of New York City, is decorated by this music poster of Conrad, and Lou, the dearly departed wire haired terrier. I copied Elvis’s bedroom eyes and transposed them to Everett, our Conrad, for whom they fit like a charm. Thanks to Pam Chumbley for the bottom half.
