Paintout # 4, Mar. 24, 2012, Surprise AZ. I chose baseball, because I am a fan, and because the Cactus League puts Surprise on the map for Kansas and Texas fans every March. I also loved the chance to learn how to throw a slider. While I was doing this painting, a little boy retreived a foul ball and gave it to me, a generous surprise.

This painting was signed by Mayor Wolcott on March 9, 2015 and has now been acquired by Pat Walsh, of Walsh's Corner Cocktail, Kansas City Mo.
